General Questions :: NetBSD and a SunStorEdge D1000 array

I have a sun Ultra with a fresh install of NetBSD 4.0 Sparc64.

I wish to add a Sun Storedge d1000 array of 8 disks.

I can see the disk rsd0 in dmesg and apply a disklabel to create partitions however I cannot directly address each disk in order to proceed to format each one.

How do I 'talk' to the array? I understood it was just a bunch of disks (JBOD) with no controller but I appear to be talking only to the sd0 as a single item just as if it actally has an A1000 controller. It reports in the disklabel that it is an A1000.

I connect the array to the computer using an Adaptec 2944UW HVD card.

In short...what steps do i take to get the OBP to recognise that the array is attached (since probe-scsi-all does not show anything, how do i proceed to configure NetBSD to talk to the disks that I might use the raidframe tutorial to setup the disks?
